 | Ocoee |
This bike rides like a dream, it's light and fast. All thehype about ti frames is true, it's got the direct feel of a aluminium chassis with the suppleness of a quality steel frame. Alhough some of the kit on it is knocking on a bit it is pretty much faultless really. The 9 speed stuff is great and the crossmaxs have kept on running true - the rest of the finishing kit is also pretty top-notch. The 99 SIDs have been replaced by a Red (ouch) 01 model pending finding a set of Fox forks at a sensible price.
This bike took a while to put together, working in a bike shop helped a great deal!
The frame may be '97, but who cares, it's a Litespeed. Weighs in at 23.2 lbs with nothing extra special or stupid light. A ti b/b, narrow bars and skinny tyres would put it under 22 lb. Trick rating was 9/10. Now getting on a bit so it'll have to be 7.5/10.
